ABOUT ME
WELCOME!
Welcome to my website, MIDGE BUBANY, AUTHOR! I am a proud mom of two and a grandmother of four. I’m a retired teacher who found a second career as an author. I write the Cal Sheehan mysteries set in Central Minnesota. The first book in the series, The Equalizer, was released June, 2014; Silver’s Bones, March, 2015; Crow Wing Dead, March, 2016, and my newest title, Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em Dead, was released in April, 2017. I am currently working on the fifth in the series, Killing Kane.
In order to effectively write in the voice of a deputy detective, I educated myself using various resources including the Orono Police Citizens Academy and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy which also allowed me the privilege of ride alongs. I am also the co-host of Generations, Classic edition, a community television show with SPNN. If you are not in the viewing area (St. Paul, MN and northern Dakota County) you can watch the programs on Youtube.
I am a member of the Sisters in Crime National and the local chapter: Twin Cities Sisters in Crime and am our chapter is available to present to libraries and other groups who are interested in learning more about mystery writing. If you are interested in hosting or attending one of these fun events please visit the Twin Cities Sisters in Crime Fan Page.
